THE FLY HOUSE MENTOR PROGRAM

Impacting the next generation

Starting in the Fall of 2022, Pneuma Outreach Ministries is starting a boy's mentorship program with our partner, The Fly (Foundational of Love for Youth) House Columbus.

Foundation of Love for Youth is a qualified residential treatment program (QTRP) group home that provides 24-hour care residential services by professionally trained staff in a family-like atmosphere for male youth ages 12-18.

Our mentor program has 5 focus areas:

1) Life Coaching: 1-on-1 and small group sessions where we discuss relevant topics that our young people face.

2) Sports/Activities: Provide an outlet for these young men to have physical exercise that uplifts the mind, soul, and spirit through recreational activities.

3) Community Service: Create community service opportunities for the young men to "give back" to their community through community outreach initiatives partnering with local organizations.

4) Personal/Spiritual Development: Small group discussions that examine some of life's bigger question such as "Why I am alive", "What is my purpose in life", "How do I navigate the trauma I have experienced".

5) Career Readiness: Bring awareness to the different alternative career paths available post high school. Work with local organizations to provide paid internship opportunities.
